SHIKARPUR, Oct 13: Four oil tankers were gutted when unidentified men opened fire on them with automatic weapons near Abdal Shakh on National Highway in the jurisdiction of Humayoon police station, on Thursday.

Reportedly, six tankers carrying diesel for Nato forces were on way from Karachi to Afghanistan when unidentified men started firing on them near Abdal Shakh as a result four tankers caught fire while police saved the two.

Drivers disappeared from the scene and police impounded the remaining two tankers.

This was the fourth incident of firing on Nato oil tankers in the district.—BoC
