PESHAWAR, Nov 16: The Peshawar High Court has summoned a man for forcibly keeping two minor children from his wife. The order was made in a habeas corpus petition filed by his wife.

A single bench comprising Justice Tariq Pervaiz directed the respondent Nadeem Ali Khan to appear before the court on the next hearing.

The petition was filed by a woman, Afshan, resident of Lahore. She claimed that five years back she was married to Nadeem. The petitioner claimed that the respondent did not treat her well and often asked her to bring money from her parents.

The petitioner also claimed that a few days back she was again asked to bring money from her parents, to which she declined. She added that finally she was forced out of house by her husband and at that time her two children were also kept by the respondent. She stated that the children were minor and could not stay without their mother and asked for their possession.
