GUJRANWALA, Nov 10: The railways has had a significant decrease in revenue since the shifting of the main railway station away from the city some six months ago.
Commuters prefer air-conditioned coaches and coasters for travelling long distance instead of the defective railway services. The railway authorities have enhanced fares without improving the services.
According to a survey, about 2,000 passengers daily travelled by train before the shifting of railway station. Now, only 1,500 people use the train service daily.
