PESHAWAR: Amir’s arrest flayed

PESHAWAR, Nov 7: Pakistan Medical Association and Khyber Medical College students staged a protest demonstration on Thursday against the arrest of Dr Amir Aziz.

Dr Aziz, an orthopedist and a former chief executive of the Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, was picked up by the United Sates Federal Bureau of Investigations agents and their local counterparts from his Defence Housing Authority residence on Oct 21.

Carrying placards inscribed with slogans against the arrest of Dr Aziz, the protesters called upon the government to get him released from the FBI immediately. NWFP PMA President Omar Ayub led the rally.—Correspondent
