SHO suspended, detainees released

LARKANA, Nov 15: The Senior Superintendent of Police, Larkana, has suspended and reverted the SHO and head moharrar of the Bakrani police station for allegedly keeping two villagers in illegal confinement.

SSP Ghulam Nabi Memon told Dawn on Thursday that during surprise visit of the Bakrani police station on late Wednesday night he found two villagers, Hidayatullah and Zulfikar, in wrongful confinement without any compliant against them.

The SSP suspended and reverted the SHO, inspector Syed Asif Ali Shah, and head moharrar Mohammed Aalam Jamarani, on the spot, and released the detained villagers who had been kept in wrongful confinement for the last 25 days.

Inspector Gul Mohamamd Mahar was appointed as new SHO of the Bakrani police station.
