KARACHI: SHCBA election results

KARACHI, Nov 6: In the recently-held elections of the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA), Muneer A. Malik and Yawar Nasim Farooqi were elected President and Honorary Secretary, respectively.

Both of them won the election with a comfortable majority.

The new newly-elected President took a bold stand vis-a-a vis the independence of judiciary and vowed to continue to work for the rule of law and democratic dispensation in the country.

The newly-elected members of the SHCBA are Muneer A. Malik, President, Syed Naqi Meerza, Vice President, Yawar Naseem Farooqi, Hon Secretary, M. A. Qadri, Treasurer, and Azra Saeed, Joint Secretary.

The Managing committee comprises Muneerur Rahman, Akhlaq Ahmed, Khalda Khatoon, Z. A. Jatoi, Khalid Hameed, Amanullah Khan, Shafaat Hussain, Ashiq Anwar Raana, and Azizuddin Qureshi. The new SHCBA will take over the next month.
