KARACHI, Aug 17: PIA ended their disappointing campaign in the 1st Cool & Cool Corporate T20 Night Cup with a 94-run rout of Omer Associates at the DHA Sports Club (Moin Khan Academy) in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Already out of contention for the semi-finals after two straight losses in Group ‘A’, PIA posted the tournament’s highest total thus far as they amassed 174-7 in a lacklustre encounter since Omer Associates were out of reckoning.

Man-of-the-Match Shoaib Khan led PIA’s run spree with a 46-ball 55 (three sixes and three fours) with useful contributions from fellow opener Faraz Ali (33 off 26 balls, four fours and a six), skipper Faisal Iqbal (25) and Shaharyar Ghani (22).Omer Associates then limped to 80 all out in 16 overs with PIA spin duo of Bilal Javed (3-7) and Tahir Khan (3-20) doing most of the damage.
