LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and other like minded parties formed an alliance on Thursday, DawnNews reported.

Sources informed DawnNews that the decision to form an alliance between PML-N and PML-Q like minded members came during a joint committee meeting.

From PML-N Senator Ishaq Dar, Mehtab Abbasi, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and from PML-Q Senator Salim Saifullah, Humayun Akhtar and Senator Ghafar Qureshi took part in the meeting.

During the meeting issues relating the economy, establishment of new provinces and the law and order situation were discussed.

Sources said that despite the alliance both parties will retain their separate identities.

Speaking to media, Dar said that together they would take on national issues.
