KARACHI, Aug 10: Omer CC ran out comfortable winners when they thrashed Brothers XI Dadu by nine wickets in the 26th Karachi Gymkhana Bahria Town Ramazan Cricket Festival at the KG Ground here on Wednesday.

Slow left-armer Mohammad Azhar and leg-spinner Hafiz Saad Nasim grabbed three wicket apiece to dismiss Brothers XI for a paltry 55 in the Group ‘A’ match. Jaahid Ali (15) and Taj Wassan (10) were the only batsmen to reach double figures.

Omer CC then knocked off the required runs in just 6.1 overs with opener Khurram Hussain striking six boundaries in his unbeaten knock of 34 off 19 deliveries.

Khurram and Azhar were declared joint recipients of the Man-of-the-Match award.
