HYDERABAD, Nov 3: A peasant was shot dead while two others were injured as bandits attacked the Jilani Farm in the jurisdiction of the Tando Allahyar police station on Sunday night.

The police attributed the attack on the farm, located near Kamaro Sharif, to the gang of a bandit named Saleh Halepoto.

The police said that Lagho Kolhi was killed by the indiscriminate firing of the bandits while Beetho Kolhi and Sindram were injured in the incident.

The Tando Allahyar police said that the farm was attacked after its owner, Pir Noor Mohammad Shah Jilani, did not pay ‘protection money’ demanded by the bandits.

Those injured are being treated at the Civil Hospital here.
