MANSEHRA, July 30: A woman was killed and seven people sustained critical injuries when a jeep plunged into a deep ravine near Darband on Saturday, police said.

The jeep (MA-4644) carrying passengers was on its way to Darband from Chak Pansala area when driver, Niaz Mohammad, while negotiating a sharp turn lost control over the steering as a result of which it fell into ravine.

Bibi Jan was killed on the spot while driver Niaz Mohammad, Ijaz Ahmad, Mohammad Shoib, Salauddeen, Haider Zaman, Kareem Jan and Mohammad Hakeem sustained critical injuries and were taken to Darband hospital and later on to Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad.
