BUNER, July 27: Chief of Awami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan (AJIP) Shahram Khan Tarakai has accused the Awami National Party (ANP) leaders of looting funds donated by foreign countries for rehabilitation of people of militancy- and flood-hit areas.
“The government’s policy of reconciliation is nothing, but a joint venture with coalition partners to swallow public funds,” he said while criticising the ruling ANP and PPP leaders at a public gathering in Koga village of Mandan tehsil here on Wednesday. MNA Usman Khan Tarakai, Mukhtiar Kaka, Wilayat Khan, Sirzamin Khan and Rajwali Khan also addressed the gathering.
On this occasion, ex-nazim union council Koga and ANP leader Sarbuland Khan and PTI district organiser Sirzamin Khan and their supporters announced joining the AJIP. Mr Shahram named Rajwali Khan as district chairman of the party.
Mr Shahram alleged that both the ANP and PPP leaders were agents of America and involved in killing of own citizens to earn dollars. He alleged that even Asfandyar Wali Khan was involved in plunder of public exchequer while thousands of 2005 earthquake affected people were still waiting to get compensation.
The AJIP leader said that the damaged roads and lack of education and health care facilities in the province showed that people’s money had been eaten up by the so-called Pakhtun leaders. Mr Shahram asked the people to support his party for bringing a positive change in their life.
