KARACHI, July 15: Four ships carrying a consignment of 38,000 tons of yellow peas are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Four container vessels, Lahore Express, C.S.L. Ride, Abtin-1 and Emirate Indus were berthed on Friday after the departure of 11.

The departing ships were led by Karachi, Cleantec, Glen Canyon Bridge, H.S. Challenger, Pacific Ruby, Asia, Galdiolus and Sycamore, while Manar, Emirates Indus, UBC Cyprus, MSC Anafi, C.S.L. Ride and Abtin-1 are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity wharves was slow where a total tonnage of 59,442 tons comprising 20,850 tons of export and 38,592 tons of import was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Spar Orion with yellow peas, Hanjin Rome, Silver Zone with containers and Lahore with crude oil.

KARACHI, July 15: Four ships carrying containers, coal and palm oil arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Eight ships were occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, cement, furnace oil and palm oil.

A cargo volume of 94,379 tons comprising 69,140 tons of import and 25,239 tons of export was handled. Magali and Nicoline sailed out.
