KHAIRPUR, Oct 30: The district anti-corruption committee, Khairpur, has decided to chargesheet 11 police officials on corruption charges in the court.

The decision was taken at a meeting held by the anti-corruption committee here on Tuesday. It was presided over by the DCO, Khairpur, Aijaz Ahmed Mangi.

It recommended that the departmental action be taken against 15 other police officials.

It approved cases for chargesheet against Shamsuddin Ghumro of the revenue department, Sub-registrar Manzoor Hussain Shaikh, Tapedar Mohammad Adam, Ghulam Ali, and Ghaus Bukhsh, while a departmental inquiry will be held against Assistant Mukhtiarkar Anwar Ali, and Tapedar Abdul Rasheed.

Four officials of the food department — Ghaus Bukhsh, Syed Changal Shah, Riaz Hussain, and Ghulam Abbas Shaikh — and four employees of the education department — Jamaldin, Alam Solangi and two others — will also be chargesheeted in the anti-corruption court.

The meeting was attended by several police officials including eight ASIs — Sikandar Ali, Noor Mohammad, Mohammad Ali, Ghulam Abbas, Mohammad Daud, Haider Bukhsh, Rajab Ali, and Zamir Akhtar — and former SHOs.

SHO SUSPENDED: The DPO, Khairpur, Mohammad Afzal Malik, on public complaints has suspended the SHO, Ranipur police station, Mir Imdad Hussain Talpur, the SHO, Faiz Mohammad Bindo police station, Mumtaz Hussain Jarwar, and the SHO, Sadiq Kalhoro police station, Abdul Wahid Chandio, with immediate effect, while Hanif Korai, Hafizullah Magnejo, Imdad Hussain Mallah, and Abdul Sattar Kalhoro have been appointed at the Thari Mirwah, Kot Digi, Faiz Bindo, and Gulo Sial police stations, respectively.

CASE REGISTERED: The A-Section police have registered an FIR against an accused, Nasir Hussain Shah, for throwing acid over a Class IX student, Bela Ansari, 14, of the Government Girls High School, Khairpur.
