KARACHI, Oct 29: Residents of Ghulshan-i-Hadeed have appealed to the city Nazim and chairman Pakistan Steel Mills to take notice of the choked sewerage system and piles of garbage at different places in their locality.

According to reports, the garbage scattered at various places in Ghulshan-i-Hadeed, the gutters overflowing and stinky sewerage water on the roads are causing disruption in the traffic flow and hardships to pedestrians.

People have deplored that the Gulshan-i-Hadeed committee responsible for discipline in and security of the area, charging each house Rs30 per month on account of cleaning, has failed to control the situation.

In connivance with the police, various organizations and transporters have occupied different playgrounds.—PPI
