Woman poisoned to death

NAWABSHAH, Oct 28: A villager, Imdad Jamali, killed his 19-year-old wife, Naziran, in Pheri Khan Jamali village near Bandhi on Sunday.

The man forced her wife to drink some poisonous liquid.

Chutto Khan, the brother of the deceased woman, has lodged an FIR with the Bandhi police.

TEACHERS: The Teachers’ Association of the Quaid-i- Awam University of Science and Technology, Nawabshah on Monday suspended classes to protest against the Model University Ordinance.

ACCIDENT: A minor girl was seriously injured after being hit by a Nawabshah-bound van on Sunday.

Farzana, 8, was injured after a van (CN-1193) hit her near the New Naka at Sakrand road.

The A-section police arrested the driver named Khalid, who was later released.
