KARACHI, June 25: Shahid Afridi playing his second match for Hampshire took five wickets for 20 runs as Hampshire defeated Gloucestershire by 16 runs (D/L method) in Friends Life t20 at the Rose Bowl on Friday. Hampshire scored 139/7 in its allotted twenty overs, Boom Boom Afridi lean patch with the bat continues as he contributed only five runs. In reply Gloucestershire needed 124 from 17 overs as rains restricted the innings to 17 overs.

Afridi’s superb bowling bowled out Gloucestershire for 107. Shahid Afridi who have been heavily fined by PCB recently, scored only 2 runs and took 1/23 against Essex in his first match for Hampshire which his team lost by 26 runs on Thursday.
