Power disconnection resented

HYDERABAD, Oct 26: The Anjuman-i-Hussaini Latifi observed a hunger strike outside press club for the second consecutive day here on Friday to protest against the disconnection of power supply to the houses of Sajjada Nasheen of Bhit Shah shrine by Hesco and registration of false cases against them.

The protesters demanded the withdrawal of cases against Syed Ghulam Raza Shah, Nazim of Bhitshah union council, Nisar Hussain Shah and Ashiq Hussain Shah.

They appealed to the chief justice of the apex court, the president, human rights bodies, journalists and intellectuals to take notice of the excesses, committed by Hesco.

They also demanded the removal of the SDO, Bhitshah, Abdul Qayoom Bhurgari.

ARRESTED: The Site police have arrested six gangsters and recovered a necklace, rings and eight bangles looted in an armed robbery in Al-Shafiq Colony.

The police also recovered three TT pistols and 18 bullets.

Those arrested were identified as Mohammad Kamal Qureshi, Imran Danish, Kamran Maseeh, Abbas Hyder, Babar Murtaza and Malook Mashoori.
