MIRPURKHAS, June 14: A woman who had already endured an aggression experienced another when one Mohammad Hanif Kumbhar and his accomplice deprived her of cash and important documents at gunpoint.

Wife of Gul Hassan, resident of Memon Colony, Digri addressing a press conference on Tuesday demanded of the Provincial Police Officer, RPO Hyderabad and DIG Mirpurkhas to ensure arrest of accused for depriving her of cash and documents near her house on June 9.

She said a case was lodged with the Digri police but Jhuddo police released Mohammad Hanif on the behest of an influential personality.

She said that she lives in a rented house owned by Mohammad Siddique and was raped by some persons last year against which a case was registered and is under proceeding in a local court. She alleged that Mohammad Siddique, Mohammad Hanif Kumbhar, Mohammad Anwar Kumbhar and Mubarak Kumbhar were pressurising her to withdraw the case or else she may be killed.

Even Hesco officials have disconnected power supply to her house despite payment of dues, merely on behest of these people. The accused tried to forcibly enter into her house she said and added that she had submitted applications to the DPO Mirpurkhas and other police officers.

She said the accused were roaming freely and issuing her threats of dire consequence.
