Syrians poured across the border to refugee camps in Turkey, fleeing a military crackdown that sent elite forces backed by helicopters and tanks into a northern town that was spinning out of government control. Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that Turkey would not close its doors to Syrian refugees and urged the government there to curb violence against civilians. – Photos by Reuters
