Spurs and Remounts post wins

RAWALPINDI, Oct 24: Spurs and Remounts recorded victories in the Trades Cup Polo Tournament at Rawalpindi Polo Club Thursday.

Spurs got past PAF by eight goals to six and half goals while in the other match, Remounts edged out President’s Bodyguards by four and half goals to four goals.

Khurshid and Bilal Hashim hit home three goals each while Junaid Jaffer had two goals for Spurs. Ahmed Nawaz Tiwana (two) and . Tauheed Ahmed and Nausher Khan (one each) were the scorers for PAF who held one and half goal advantage.

In the second match Manzoor Shah struct twice and Ahmed Khan and Farooq Khalid Chughtai once each for Remounts while for President’s Bodyguards Isfand Yar Ali Khan Pataudi slammed three goals and Sikander Ali scored one goal.

The final of the tournament will be played Saturday.—APP
