Journalist’s murder condemned

MIRPURKHAS, Oct 24: Local journalists on Thursday held a protest meeting to condemn the murder of the Kandhkot journalist, Shahid Soomro.

The meeting was presided over by the president of the Mirpurkhas Press Club, Saleem Azad.

The journalists called for immediate arrest of the killers besides awarding them harshest possible punishment.

Terming the murder an attack on press freedom, they urged the government to provide protection to the journalists, particularly in the interior areas of Sindh.
