Lal Shahbaz’s Urs begins today

DADU, Oct 24: The 750th annual Urs of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz will be observed from Oct 25 to 27 at Sehwan Sharif.

Sindh Governor Mohammedmian Soomro will inaugurate the Urs.

Later, the governor will visit stalls at the exhibition hall.

On the first day, Malakhro competitions will be held, which will be inaugurated by the director Sindh Sports Board, Syed Ghulam Akbar Shah.

On the second day, the chief guest, provincial secretary tourism, Ashiq Hussain Memon, will distribute prizes among the winners of Malakhro.

On the concluding day, Sindh Chief Secretary K B Rind will be the chief guest and will distribute the Shahbaz prizes among the writers and singers.

The groups from the various parts of the country have started arriving in Sehwan.

SECTION 144: The district Nazim, Dadu, has imposed section 144 in the Sehwan town, during three-day annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz from Oct 25 to 27.

It includes a ban on displaying arms and pasting and distributing posters in Sehwan town limits.
