MITHI, Oct 24: The Sindh Democratic Alliance leader and MNA- elect from NA-229, Arbab Ghulam Raheem, on Thursday accused the PPP candidates of trying to defame the SDA candidates.

The SDA leader, speaking at a press conference, expressed his concern over what he called misleading print media reports regarding rigging on Thar seats, saying there was no truth in such reports.

Raheem claimed that he was one of the strongest contenders for the top Sindh chief ministership, saying that the PPP leadership had unleashed a concerted media campaign against him and his supporters out of fear of his potential anti-PPP policies.

Speaking on this occasion, MNA-elect Ghulam Haider Samejo and MPA-elect Abdul Razzaq Rahoomo termed reports about rigging in Thar mere propaganda ruse, besides accusing the PPP’s Dr Khatoomal of using the Meghwar community for the media campaign.

Others, who spoke on this occasion, included Mohammad Saleh Bhatti, Maulvi Shakardin, Haji Umed Ali Rahoomo, Bhooromal Kolhi, advocate, Partab Singh, Qamaruddin Rahoomo, Ghulam Mohammad Bhoot, Ghuman Singh and Dr Noor Samejo.
