Ahmad adjudged best swimmer

LAHORE, Oct 23: Punjab College of Commerce, Lahore (PCCL) with 62 points won the Punjab University Inter-Collegiate swimming championship 2002-3 at the university’s New campus pool Wednesday.

PCCL’s Ahmad Khalid Waqas who scored 25 points was declared the best swimmer.

Government College, Faisalabad was runners-up with 32 points while Punjab University Teaching Department which secured 20 points came in third.

100m backstroke: Zeeshan Shahid (GCF) one m 45.37 sec, Saleh Ahmad Khurram (PCCL), Mohammad Ahmad (GCF).

50m butterfly: Ahmad Khalid Waqas (PCCL), 35.78 sec, Zeeshan Shahid (GCF), Saleh Ahmad Khurram (PCCL).

4x50m medlay relay: PCCL, two m 47.03 sec, GCF, PUTD.

100m freestyle: Ahmad Khalid Waqas (PCCL), one m 18.33 sec, Zeeshan Shahid (GCF), Ali Murtaza (PUTD).

4x50m freestyle relay: GCF, two m 36.56 sec, PCCL, (PUTD).

100m breaststroke: Awais Akram (PCCL), one m 13.84 sec, Usman Sakhi (PCCL), Zeeshan Shahid (GCF).
