RAWALPINDI, Oct 23: Two persons, including a five-year-old boy, were killed in separate road accidents in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
In the first accident, a motorcyclist was run over by a bus of a private company near Poonch House late Tuesday night, police said on Wednesday.
Mehmood Ahmed Malik was heading home on his motorbike when a passenger bus hit him, killing him on the spot. The bus driver escaped from the scene.
In the other incident, Kashan Masih, a resident of Kutcha Abadi F-7/1, was hit by a double-cabin car as he was crossing the road in Blue Area on Wednesday, police said.
The driver managed to escape from the scene of the accident.
VEHICLES STOLEN: Vehicles were stolen from different areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, police said on Wednesday.
Qasir Rehman, a constable posted at Gangmandi police station, was among the victims who lost their vehicles. Qasir had parked his motorbike (RIW-2205) inside the police station when some robbers stole it.
Pervez Hussain’s car (LXS-9245) was stolen from Pirwadhai, while Zameer Ahmed’s motorcycle (RIY-1136) was lifted from Sadiqabad.
Humayun Jadoon’s car (IDL-3822) was stolen from Secretariat police area while an Alto car (ABV-436) was lifted from Civil Line police area.
