MIRPURKHAS, Oct 23: For-mer Federal Minister and PP Parliamentarians’s MNA-elect from NA-228, Mirpurkhas, Nawab Mohammad Yousuf Talpur has demanded re-election in desert district of Tharparkar to allow the drought-hit people to exercise their right of franchise freely without any intimidation.

Talking to a delegation of PPP workers from Tharparkar, the CEC member of the PPP complained of massive rigging in Tharparkar by a group in collusion with police and other administrative officials.

He said he was shocked to learn that District Nazim Arbab Attaullah has feared of his own kidnapping by the DPO Tharparkar and wrote to the Sindh government but no action was taken.

He condemned the registration of cases against PPP candidate Engineer Gianchand and 600 other workers and asked the Election Commission to award exemplary punishment to those who rigged the elections and hurled threats on its officials.
