MANSEHRA: PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday stated that the attackers of the PNS Base in Karachi are trying to destroy Pakistan while the government continues to sleep, DawnNews reported.

Speaking in Mansehra, Sharif said that the attack on the naval base was not ordinary terrorism but in fact was a ploy to shake the roots of Pakistan. He said that in order to save Pakistan from such incidents, he had proposed the Misaq-e-Pakistan political accord to which everyone had shown a non-serious attitude.

The PML-N chief said that incidents such as these would leave Pakistan completely isolated from the rest of the world.

While paying tribute to the security personnel who lost their lives in the assault, Sharif called for an immediate investigation of the attack.
