Enraged transporters block road

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 1: Transporters blocked the National Highway near Sadoja when one group attacked another group of transporters by busting tyres of their buses on Monday morning.

According to details, Ali Hassan Coaches, which were going to Hyderabad from Kandiaro, when reached at Sadoja, four persons identified as Abdullah Korai, Hamaad Korai, Talik and Pehalwan, also transporters, came in a car No. ACU-774 and stopped both the buses. They busted the tyres of the buses and thrashed the passengers as well as drivers and escaped from the scene. The reason of the attack was disagreement over the timings of the buses. The coach owners blocked National Highway near Sadoja and raised slogans against the Korai transporters. The passenger suffered a lot due to the boycott of transport. The blockad ended only after an assurance of the Naushahro Feroze police that a strict action would be taken against the accused.

DIED: One person died and another injured, when dacoits opened fire at them at Noorpur late on Sunday night. According to reports, four unidentified dacoits stopped a tuck (MNA-3476) and asked the driver to shift the luggage of the truck in their car. When they resisted, the dacoits opened fire, as a result of which driver of the truck, Pir Bux was seriously injured and the conductor Rabnawaz also received injuries. Pir Bux was taken to Nawabshah hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

WOMAN THRASHED: A woman, Suraiya Bano, 27, resident of Padidan was severely beaten by her neighbourers, who forcibly took over her house. According to details, Suraiya Bano is disabled and was given a job of lady health worker to meet her day-to-day expenses.

The then Deputy Commission-er Irfan Shaikh also allotted her a plot and got constructed a house for her. On Sunday night, her neighbourers identified as Ali Hassan Palh and Tayab Palh came to her house, allegedly thrashed her and her three children and took possession of her house forcibly.
