KOHAT, May 15: A man was killed and three others received injuries when a bomb exploded near Zargari village in Hangu district on Sunday.

The bomb was allegedly planted by their rival group of criminals in their car. The officials of Bomb Disposal Squad said that a two-kilogram heavy magnet bomb was attached under a car, which was going to Zargari from Hangu city.

The time device exploded with a huge bang when the car reached Kacha Pakha area, they said. The car was destroyed completely. Police said that the leader of a criminal gang, Haji Shah Momin Jan, was killed in the blast. He was going to Zargari along with his relatives.

His relatives identified as Mohammad Anar and Zahir Khan, both residents of Zargari, and a shopkeeper Momin Khan, a resident of Lakki Marwat, received injuries. They were shifted to hospital for treatment. The Zargari police registered a case against unidentified persons and launched investigations. Meanwhile, 13 passengers were injured when a Rawalpindi-bound passenger coach overturned near Gumbat.

The victims were shifted to women and children hospital. Similarly, four persons, including children, sustained severe burn injuries when fire erupted in a house in Nasrat Khel area on Sunday. They were taken to hospital for treatment.— Correspondent
