Export target

ISLAMABAD, Oct 21: Commerce Minister Abdul Razak Dawood said that all fundamentals had been placed at right place and he was quite optimistic about realization of export target of $10.4 billion during this fiscal.

He stated that investment indicators of first quarter of this fiscal show a boom upward and if the same tempo is maintained, the country will witness a high sustainable economic growth.

This he said while presiding over the board meeting of Export Development Fund (EDF) here on Sunday.

Mr Razak said that EDF was exporters’ fund, which needed judicious utilization for strengthening export related training institutions and quality control outfits.

He said presently Rs1,294 million were available with the Ministry of Commerce, whereas funds commitment for various projects was Rs2,070 million.
