MULTAN, Oct 18: The provincial information secretary has sought explanation from the executive director of Punjab Council of Arts (Pucar) regarding the posting and place of duty of the programme officer of Dera Ghazi Khan Arts Council, Afraz Ahmed.

Mr Afraz has been working in Lahore instead of Dera Ghazi Khan for the last eight years in connivance with the Pucar authorities.

Sources said the secretary information, Shaukat Ali Shah, had directed Pucar executive director Tahir Jamil to submit a report within three days as to why Mr Afraz was working in Lahore instead of his office in Dera Ghazi Khan. The Pucar chief has been further directed to provide the service record of Mr Afraz.
