KARACHI, April 27: Ghotki, Sanghar and Umerkot won their matches in the All Sindh Inter-district Twenty20 Cricket Tournament on Wednesday.

At Pir Jo Goth Ground in Khairpur, Ghotki Galaxy outplayed Khairpur Dates by 100 runs.

Shoaib Jaffer smashed 77 studded with seven sixes and five boundaries and Riaz Ahmed blasted 73 laced with nine fours and three sixes as Ghotki raised 215-8 in their stipulated 20 overs while batting first. Khairpur Dates, in reply, were dismissed for 115 in 14.2 overs.

At Marvi Cricket Ground Umerkot, the host team defeated Tharparker Desert by seven wickets as Mohammad Faheem (3-14), Ashok Kumar (48) and Abbas Shah (43) excelled for the winning team. A fighting 53-run knock from Tharparker’s Dilip Kumar went in vain.

In another match, Sanghar defeated Tando Allahyar by 20 runs in Tando Allahyar, thanks to a brilliant all-round show by Javed Awan, who scored 57 and took three wickets for 34 runs.
