Mahathir due today

ISLAMABAD, Oct 17: Prime minister of Malaysia, Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad arrives here on Friday on a two-day visit.

President Gen Pervez Musharraf and the prime minister will hold talks on Friday.

A memorandum of understanding on cooperation in information technology is likely to be signed during the visit.

Dr Mahathir will launch the Liberty Power Project, completed with Malaysian assistance.

An agreement on the construction of a jetty at Port Qasim in collaboration with Malaysia is also expected to be signed.—APP
