Warrants reissued

KARACHI, April 21: A judicial magistrate on Thursday reissued warrants for the arrest of six policemen in a case pertaining to the killing of a young man in a fake encounter.

ASI Faisal Jaffari, head-constables Shafiq Anjum and Ijaz Ahmed and constables Namoos Khan, Mazhar Hussain and Abdul Latif of the Ferozabad police station were booked for allegedly kidnapping Mohammad Ali Butt in December 2010 within the remit of the Baloch Colony police station and killing him in a fake encounter.  A case (FIR No.10/2011) was registered on the complaint of the deceased’s father, Yousuf Butt, on a sessions court order in January this year.—Staff Reporter
