KARACHI: Nine cars, 17 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, Oct 17: Twenty-six vehicles — nine cars and 17 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Thursday, police said.

Three cars were hijacked. Six others were stolen.

Four motorcycles were hijacked. Thirteen others were stolen.

DIES: A young girl died in mysterious circumstances in Mehmoodabad on Thursday.

Sources at Civil Hospital said that Salma Bibi, aged 24, was brought to the hospital by her father. Doctors pronounced her dead on arrival at the hospital.

Post-mortem on the body was carried out at the hospital. The post-mortem report had been reserved till the receipt of the histopathological report, the sources said.

The police drew a blank on it.

A man who was injured a few days ago in a brawl in Pak Colony died on Wednesday.

Police said that Jasim, aged 35, was injured in a brawl a few days back. His friends had been getting him treated at a private clinic.
