HYDERABAD, Oct 17: The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) has criticized the uncalled for attitude of the EDO, education, Zamir Hussain Kazi, towards the college teachers and demanded his immediate removal.
This was observed in a meeting of the Hyderabad district body of the SPLA, held here on Thursday. Syed Ghazanfar Shah presided over the meeting.
The meeting observed that the EDO was keeping the files of the college teachers with him for the last three months and his behaviour, particularly towards the women teachers, was uncivilized.
The meeting warned that such an attitude of the EDO could not be tolerated and it appealed to the Sindh chief secretary to remove the EDO immediately.
The meeting demanded that a senior college teacher should be appointed in his place, failing which the college teachers would neither obey his orders nor allow him to enter the premises of a college.
The meeting also urged the provincial secretary, education, to order an inquiry against the EDO for allegedly keeping the development funds of colleges in his personal account.—Bureau
