KARACHI, April 12: Karachi Reds cruised into the final of the Southern Zone Tournament of 13th National Seniors Cricket Cup after beating Hyderabad Seniors by 3 wickets at the Niaz Stadium Hyderabad . After winning the toss, Hyderabad Seniors scored 184 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 25 overs. Arshad Naveed scored 50 off 36 balls including 5 fours while Ahmed Jaffri scored 34 off 31 balls with 2 fours and a six. For Karachi Greens Saifullah Magsi took 3 Wickets for 25 runs, Zafar Ali and M. Nasir took 2 wickets each for 30 and 36 runs respectively.

Karachi Reds in reply reached the winning target by scoring 188 runs for the loss of 8 wickets on the last ball of the 25th over. Irfanullah was top scorer with 40 runs scored in 38 balls with 3 Fours. Yahya Toor scored 35 not out in 23 balls with 4 Fours and a Six and Saifullah Magsi scored 33 runs off 24 balls with 5 Fours.

For Hyderabad Seniors Sabir Qureshi took 3 wickets for 27 runs. Ghaffar Khan and Ashique John took 2 Wickets each for 26 and 32 runs respectively. Saifullah Magsi for his all-round performance was declared Man of the Match.

Karachi Reds will meet Karachi Greens in the Southern Zone final on Sunday April 17.
