KARACHI, April 11: Karachi Greens recorded a formidable ten-wicket win over Sukkur Veterans to claim their place in the regional final of the 13th National Seniors Cricket Cup (Southern Zone) at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium here on Sunday.

Batting first, Sukkur Veterans totalled 152-5 in the stipulated 25 overs. Agha Javed top-scored with 53. Nadeem Musa captured three wickets.

In response, Karachi Greens achieved the target in the 23rd over for the loss of one wicket in a 12 a-side-match. Jaffer Qureshi struck a brilliant 73 laced with 10 boundaries and a six. Sajid Ali (46) also batted well for the winners.—Agencies
