LAHORE, Oct 14: There is a need to change police attitude towards the poor and weaker segments of society.

This was stated by Governor Khalid Maqbool here on Monday while distributing certificates among those police officials who rendered outstanding performance against terrorism.

The governor said the police had performed unprecedented efficiency in eliminating terrorism from the province.

He said the government had adopted the principle of reward and punishment to improve efficiency of the various departments.

The governor said in future, the government would also provide cash prizes in addition to medals to those rendering outstanding services for the department.
