PPP worker shot dead by PML-Q men

VEHARI, Oct 14: A PPP worker was shot dead allegedly by PML-Q activists over an election row in Chak 217/EB Gago on Monday.

Khalid Husain was chanting slogans in favour of PPP candidate Mahmood Akhtar Ghuman and against PML-Q candidate Chaudhry Nazir Jat when Raja Zafar, Shahzad Haider, Sarwar, Ghulam Muhammad, Malik Javed, Khadim Masih and Azmat Ghuman reached his shop. They shot him dead after exchanging hot words with him.

Police have registered a case. No arrest has so far been reported.
