PESHAWAR, Oct 14: Central leaders of MMA Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Fazlur Rehman, Inayatullah Khan Gandapur and Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, Chief of PPP-(SP), will vacate the additional seats won by them in the recently-held general election 2002.

Jamaat Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Chief of JUI(F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman have won two NA seats each in the recently-held elections while Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has been elected from NA as well as PF seat from his home town, Charsadda.

Qazi Hussain Ahmed has won from Nowshera and Lower Dir districts and is expected to vacate the NA-34, Lower Dir, seat and would retain the NA-5, Nowshera-I, his home constituency.

Similarly, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has won from NA-24, D.I. Khan, and NA-25, D.I. Khan-cum-Tank. Maulana Fazlur Rehman is expected to vacate NA-25 and will retain his home constituency seat NA-24.

Former NWFP Chief Minister and Chief of his own faction of PPP Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has won one NA and one PF seat from his home town, Charsadda.

Sherpao in a recent press statement has expressed his willingness to retain his NA-8 seat and will surrender PF-20, Charsadda-IV.

Moreover, Sikandar Sherpao, son of Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao will start his parliamentary career from the NWFP Assembly this time.
