PESHAWAR: Security forces attacked militant hideouts in the Kurram tribal region on Thursday killing at least eight militants, DawnNews reported.

Six militants were also wounded in the action in central Kurram and two insurgent hideouts were destroyed.

Kurram is located near the Afghan border. Many Taliban militants escaping a Pakistan army operation in the nearby Orakzai tribal region are believed to have fled there.
