KARACHI: PTCL giving poor performance

Published October 14, 2002

KARACHI, Oct 13: The telephone number of a subscriber has been out of order for more than a month despite repeated complaints lodged with the offices of divisional engineer and general manager, PTCL’s Landhi zone.

A PTCL domestic customer from Landhi area said her telephone connection developed some problem and became ‘dead’ in early September. She lodged her complaint with the DE office many times, but of no use.

On her frustration, she was told it was a cable fault and the complaint cell-106 gave her a telephone number 2633244 of PTCL General Manager’s office Landhi to record the complaint. She complained on the number repeatedly, but till date the problem remains un-resolved.

“ I have called at 2633244 four times during last one week and each time the operator gives assurance that my complaint was noted and the connection will be restored shortly.”

The complainant suggested that in case of a cable fault, it should be taken more seriously.—APP
