HYDERABAD, Oct 13: The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA), Hyderabad Region, at a meeting held on Saturday has expressed grave concern over the non-payment of salaries to the teachers of boys and girls colleges of Kotri.

Prof Khadim Hussain Khoso presided over the meeting.

Prof Khoso pointed out that at a meeting with the provincial education secretary held on Sept 25, it was decided that the teachers of Kotri colleges would be paid their salaries without delay but the problem remained unresolved.

The meeting demanded the education secretary, finance secretary, and chief secretary to release the salaries of the teachers of Kotri colleges without any further delay.

SUSPENDED: The regional police officer, Hyderabad Region, Abdur Rauf Yousufzai, has suspended Sub-inspector Sher Bahadur Afridi, SHO, Hali Road police station, Hyderabad, and Sub-inspector Wazeer Ali Babbar, in charge investigation team of the same police station on their failure to control crime and to adopt preventive measures for controlling crime within their jurisdiction.
