MIRPURKHAS, Oct 13: One person was killed and 50 were injured after a coaster overturned near Mir Ji Landhi in Mirwah on Sunday.
The accident occurred after the tie-rod of a Kot Ghulam Mohammad-bound coaster broke down.
The injured are being treated at Kot Ghulam Mohammad taluka hospital and Civil Hospital, Mirpurkhas.
Passengers sustaining critical injuries were later shifted to LMUH, Hyderabad.
ARRESTED: Digri police on Sunday arrested a murder accused, Munawar Arain.
Munawar and two others were nominated in the murder case of Dr Shahid Farooque Arain, who was killed on the polling day at the Govt High School, Digri, polling station.
SUICIDE: Tamu, 25, son of Mohan Kolhi, committed suicide by hanging himself in Ubedullah Dhonkai village in Samaro taluka on Sunday.
The police said the motivation behind the suicide was matrimonial affairs.
