ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-i-Islami has announced a countrywide protest on Friday and a rally in Islamabad on Sunday against the burning of Quran and the Raymond Davis issue.
Speaking to a news conference here on Thursday, party’s secretary general Liaqat Baloch termed the desecration of Holy Quran by a priest in Florida as a conspiracy to harm inter-faith harmony.
He said that the party chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, will lead the protest rally on March 27 in the federal capital against target killings in Karachi, drone attacks and the release of Davis.
