HYDERABAD, Oct 12: The president of the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI), Sindh, Mir Haider Ali Khan Talpur, on Saturday said there was no planned rigging by the government on the polling day.
He, however, said the government had been engaged in pre-poll rigging through the new delimitations of constituencies and posting of officers.
Talpur, who had contested for NA-220, NA-222, PS-46 and PS-50 and lost on all the seats, was speaking at a news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club.
He said political alliances were also encouraged and sponsored by the government before the election.
The Sindh PTI chief said he accepted the responsibility for the dismal performances of his party at the poll in the province and had sent his resignation to the party chief but it was rejected.
He announced the party organization in the province had been dissolved at all levels and added he would reorganize the party at the gross-root level.
He said although the PTI would not be represented in the assemblies as only party chief Imran Khan had been elected, his party would do everything possible to ensure the elected parliament completed its tenure.
Talpur suggested an all parties conference should be convened to discuss the role of the Election Commission and the electoral reforms.
