KARACHI, March 16: Senior Sindh Minister for Education Pir Mazharul Haq has said that the Sindh Teachers Development Authority (STDA) is being established to resolve problems of teachers in a better way.
He said this during a briefing to a 60-member delegation of the National Defence University, Islamabad, that visited the Chief Minister's House on Wednesday.
Elected representatives, members of civil society, journalists, bureaucrats, and social workers were part of the delegation.
The delegation was led by director general of the ISSRA Major General Azhar Ali Shah.
Mr Haq said that it was the endeavour of the present government to promote education and jack up the literacy rate which was essential for progress and prosperity of the nation.—APP
