LAHORE, Oct 9: A candidate for the provincial assembly is reported to have been missing since late Tuesday night.

Quoting an application filed on Wednesday by Saifullah to the Cantonment police, an official said his brother, Syed Zawar Hussain Shah Bokhari, had been fielded by the Millat Party as its candidate in PP-146.

Saif said his brother had left his house with some people leaving a message that he was going out on election campaign late Tuesday night.

He claimed that his brother had not returned home yet. 0Search for him at all places where he could have possibly gone had failed, he wrote in the application.

Cantonment police SP Dr Usman believed that the claim seemed to be a political drama. However, he said: “We are investigating.” No case had been lodged till the filing of this report.
